While in IL, Dr. Weathers was the owner, executive director, and primary treating physician of a multidiscipline office in the Chicago area for 20 years before moving back here to Colorado. His practice provided physical medicine care consisting of Chiropractic Adjustments, Licensed Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Sports Medicine Care, Sporting Event and Sideline Coverage, Acupuncture, MAT-Muscle Activation Therapy, Certified Athletic Training, Personal Training, Group Exercise Classes, and Nutritional Counseling.
As A Treating Physician Chiropractic Treatments, Dr. Jim Weathers is Board Certified in Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy and takes a more “New School” approach to treatment and adjustment techniques using less force and torque on the patients’ body than traditionally performed. Patients usually feel more relaxed and at ease with these techniques.
Dr. Weathers continued his education to specialize in sports medicine and rehabilitation and obtained extensive training and experience in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients and athletes suffering from a wide variety of musculoskeletal, physiological and kinetic conditions. His “hands on” experience with working on elite, professional, and Olympic athletes, through the years, has provided the skills needed to adapt those rehab protocols for those with chronic pain, the “weekend warrior” and the recreational athlete and help maximize one’s recovery.
